Ger and I love long hikes and adventures in nature, but we also enjoy hot showers and comfy beds, so glamping in Killarney was an easy choice for us.

We met in Barcelona playing Gaelic football, hiked, biked, ran, and adventured through the world until we ended up in Ireland so that we could spend more time with the Irish mammy!

Killarney Glamping At The Grove is one of the most unique places to stay in Killarney.

They have been growing and improving their glamping site since 2012 and now offer three different types of glamping accommodation.

We chose this glamping site because the Cabin looked cosy and its in a great location right next to town but is also in a secluded natural area by the River Flesk!

For glamping Ireland, couples have so many places to choose from but Killarney Glamping is a great choice! (Keep reading to find out why!)

3. Cabin At The Grove

The Cabin is the most unique glamping accommodation Ger and I have ever stayed at.

If you’re glamping in Kerry, I don’t think there are many options as luxurious as the Cabin at the Grove.

The Cabin is beautiful inside and out, the location is peaceful and everything you could need is right inside the cabin!

One thing Ger and I noticed when we arrived was the Cabin is actually much more spacious than it looks in the photos.

The open-plan design provides plenty of room around the bed and kitchen area, and there’s plenty of space in the bathroom too!

The location of the Cabin is slightly further away from the Romantic Suites and Luxury Lodges, and closer to the river.

This provides more seclusion and a more tranquil environment on the lower meadow.

The Cabin has an open-plan design, which provides plenty of space and offers amazing views out to the meadow. It has a king-sized bed, kitchen, and en-suite bathroom.

Ger and I decided to treat ourselves and added on a bottle of Prosecco. (This cost €14.99)

And a treats hamper for our cosy night in the Cabin. (This cost €12) Check out the Killarney Glamping Website to see what other add-ons are available.

We had an amazing stay at this cosy Cabin at the Grove. It was so warm and sheltered and situated in the most idyllic location.

Staying in the Cabin at the Grove is one of the coolest things to do in Killarney for couples.

Note: The Cabin does not have an outdoor BBQ or WiFi (but there is good 4G coverage).

FAQs About Glamping In Killarney:

Do Glamping Tents Have Showers?

If you’re wondering, do glamping tents have showers? Yes, even compact luxury tents often offer space for a private bathroom with high-end sanitary facilities, such as a toilet or a private shower. Luxury is one of the key elements of glamping; therefore comfortable beds and quality facilities are always included.

What Is Glamping Season Ireland?

All year-round glamping sites are open in Ireland. Glamping in Ireland requires being able to withstand the elements all year round. Therefore, the accommodation can handle the cold and wet winter months just as well as the summer months. Despite this people generally think of glamping as a summer activity.

What Do You Sleep In When You Go Glamping?

If you’re wondering, what do you sleep in when you go glamping? You sleep in a bed. There are many different types of glamping accommodation from tents and wooden huts to tipis and treehouses. In each case, you will generally find a nice comfortable bed. That’s the main difference between camping and glamping; comfort.

Is Glamping Cold?

If you’re wondering is glamping cold? Absolutely not. Even when the weather might make a normal camping experience miserable, you can still enjoy a comfortable glamping experience. Now that you know the best places to go glamping in Killarney, what’s stopping you from booking in to experience the beautiful scenery of Kerry from a luxurious lodge or cabin?

I think the biggest thing that put me off initially was thinking it would be cold and uncomfortable , but it was quite the opposite!

You can relax and unwind in nature and enjoy your creature comforts 🙂

There is so much to see and do around Killarney from the stunning Torc Waterfall to the beautiful Lakes of Killarney.
